Healthy Start and Future
The goal of this Promise is to provide reliable, affordable, accessible continuity of health care for children and families. The focus of the Healthy Start initiatives would include: establishing medical home models; providing adequate and affordable health insurance; dental care; immunizations; nutrition; Healthy Start Resource Library and a full-time nurse in every school.
A medical home is a physician’s office that manages the health care of the child and family.
